Active membership in the
Society is open to pediatric dentists located in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky,
Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee,
Virginia, West Virginia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto
Rico who are members of the American Dental Association
or National Dental Association and are engaged in the
full-time practice, research, or teaching of pediatric
dentistry. They must also be a member of the American Academy
of Pediatric Dentists AAPD.
Associate membership is open
to persons who meet the same criteria as those set forth
for Active membership, but who reside outside the
geographic boundaries of the southeastern United States
or Puerto Rico.
Student
membership
is offered to all residents who are enrolled in academic
institutions' pediatric dentistry program. The Journal
will be available at no charge. Reduced rates will be
charged at meetings and continuing education events. After
graduation, membership dues will be free the first year and 50% of
active membership dues the second year.
Affiliate
membership is open to non-pediatric professionals in medicine and
dentistry who share our common interests and wish to participate in
membership activities. Affiliate membership is available to
other recognized dental specialists with an interest in dentistry
for children, adolescents or the handicapped and all other
individuals whose interests are consistent with the mission of the
SSPD.
